Engineering Challenge: Chemical Switch Workshop
February 9 // 10:00AM – 12:00PM
Reserve a spot for your team in one of our two-hour facilitation workshops at Discovery Lab led by an experienced educator. Limit of five teams per workshop.
Parents are welcome to attend or may drop their students off after completing a signed release.
The following supplies are included with your registration:
- Water Balloons Baking soda
- Vinegar - gallon
- Measuring spoons
- 9 volt battery
- Test leads to create the circuit to break
- Light or other indicator that the circuit has been broken
- Stopwatch
- Paper towels
Teams are encouraged to bring any additional supplies they may want to incorporate into their project. If you have chosen your chemical reaction you may bring any chemicals your team is using in your reaction, and any corresponding containers or materials for transportation, mixing, and disposal.
